Zoom software allows users to join or create a video session and invite others to join. It also offers the ability to do screen sharing tools to allow for rich presentation and collaboration with the ability to draw and annotate on the screen.
Students and faculty can install Zoom using the FileWave Kiosk on their computers.
Click on the FileWave kiosk icon on the top-right of your computer. Then click on Install Software.
In the Applications category scroll down to the bottom of the list and you'll see the Zoom app. Click on the Install button and it will do the install.
If FileWave is not working on your machine, or if you have a personal computer, you can download and install Zoom using this link. For all other devices, such as Windows computers, iPhones or Android devices, you can download and install the appropriate Zoom client available on the Zoom Download Center.
If using a Chromebook, or if you are using a computer that you can't install any apps, you can use the client that is pre-installed in the @lrei.org Google Chrome environment.
Students and faculty already have Zoom installed to their Chrome browsers managed by LREI. If you are using Chrome, you will need to be signed in to the browser using your @lrei.org account, you should be able to see the Zoom app installed when you click on the Apps icon on the browser.
If you don't see the Apps Icon under the Address Bar, go to View > and select Always Show Bookmarks Bar
